The Royalty cinema, Gosforth, Newcastle upon Tyne

Moving stock for a charity shop, 1979. Super 8 film.

Rails of clothes are pushed along the High Street from the hall on West Avenue, where they were stored, to the shop. The charity was the NAVS (National Anti-Vivisection Society).

This Super 8 film gives a glimpse of the shopping centre which was still under construction at the time. Also some long gone premises such as Laidlaws, Northern Rock and Woolworths which still has its old red and gold sign and was opposite the charity shop.

Duration: 1 min 3 secs.
